In perfumery vocabulary, Violet "Region of Grasse" Absolute MD, is associated with cool green leaf, watery floral, cucumber skin, moss, soft leather and powdered violet. Its creative role is a richly expressive heart-note material, giving structure and character to complex accords.
In the organ, use it to build green floral hearts, enrich violet-leather accords and introduce watery bouquets. As heart note, it offers signature rather than mere theme.
Absolute extraction preserves a broad, saturated portrait of the source. Traditionally, fragrant biomass is first solvent-extracted and the resulting concrete or resinoid is purified with alcohol, giving perfumers a dense material rich in less-volatile facets. Molecular or short-path distillation selects the profile under high vacuum, often refining colour and separating lighter from heavier registers.
