In perfumery vocabulary, Sage MD Absolute LA is associated with dry sage leaf, hay, camphor, tobacco, ambery herb and leather. Its creative role is a deep base-note material with architectural presence, giving structure and character to complex accords.
In the organ, use it to build aromatic leathers, enrich herbal chypres and introduce tobacco accords. As base note, it offers signature rather than mere theme.
Absolute extraction preserves a broad, saturated portrait of the source. Traditionally, fragrant biomass is first solvent-extracted and the resulting concrete or resinoid is purified with alcohol, giving perfumers a dense material rich in less-volatile facets. Molecular or short-path distillation selects the profile under high vacuum, often refining colour and separating lighter from heavier registers.
