In perfumery vocabulary, Oakmoss Resinoid is associated with resinous moss, earthy, woody, leathery, smoky and balsamic. Its creative role is a deep base-note material with architectural presence, giving structure and character to complex accords.
In the organ, use it to build give moss accords resinous body, enrich anchor leather and tobacco and introduce build dense chypres. As base note, it offers signature rather than mere theme.
A resinoid is generally obtained by solvent extraction of dry botanical matter, gums, balsams or resins. It emphasises the low, enveloping register: balsamic warmth, texture and slow diffusion.
