In perfumery vocabulary, Horn Absolute Super is associated with burnt keratin, smoky, leathery, sulfurous, dry animalic and mineral. Its creative role is a deep base-note material with architectural presence, giving structure and character to complex accords.
In the organ, use it to build add a burnt-horn accent to leather, enrich create mineral animalic tension and introduce darken smoke and tar accords. As base note, it offers signature rather than mere theme.
Absolute extraction preserves a broad, saturated portrait of the source. Traditionally, fragrant biomass is first solvent-extracted and the resulting concrete or resinoid is purified with alcohol, giving perfumers a dense material rich in less-volatile facets.
