In perfumery vocabulary, Cistus 83 Absolute, Purified from Reprocessed Concrete is associated with ambery, resinous, leathery, honeyed, woody and herbal. Its creative role is a deep base-note material with architectural presence, giving structure and character to complex accords.
In the organ, use it to build build textured amber bases, enrich give leather a resinous sheen and introduce support tobacco and patchouli. As base note, it offers signature rather than mere theme.
