In perfumery vocabulary, Blackcurrant Bud Resinoid is associated with cassis berry, crushed green bud, sulfurous sparkle, catty nuance, resin and dark fruit. Its creative role is a deep base-note material with architectural presence, giving structure and character to complex accords.
In the organ, use it to build cassis accords, enrich rose-fruit contrast and introduce green chypres. As base note, it offers signature rather than mere theme.
A resinoid is generally obtained by solvent extraction of dry botanical matter, gums, balsams or resins. It emphasises the low, enveloping register: balsamic warmth, texture and slow diffusion.
